Local craftsmen still possess the skills to work with this stone. It's remarkable that this has been done for so many generations and thousands of years. The veined rust-brown color of this alabaster is the perfect shade for a warm atmosphere by candlelight. Mix and match the different sizes for an attractive composition on your table.

Alabaster is a porous stone. That's why candlelight shines through it so beautifully. This also means that melted candle wax can sometimes leak through the material, sticking to the surface beneath. For safety, we recommend placing a coaster under the tea light.
